"Marriage Is Not an Ideal for Only a Few": Burke Challenges Amoris Laetitia
Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke has called on Catholics to defend the sacrament of marriage and the Christian family even at the cost of suffering. Preaching on July 25 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Wisconsin, the cardinal encouraged married couples to embrace their vocation as a path to holiness.
"The grace of Holy Matrimony is not an ideal to which only a few can aspire," he said, "but an objective reality, a supernatural gift, which leads husband and wife to seek each other's eternal salvation along the path of divine love."
The cardinal concluded: "Let us be ready for martyrdom, if not the red martyrdom of blood, certainly the white martyrdom of faithful witness to Our Lord in the face of indifference, ridicule, and persecution."
Cardinal Burke's appeal comes just two months before the Vatican's October meeting convened by Pope Leo XIV to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Amoris laetitia. In this exhortation, Pope Francis repeatedly uses the language of the "ideal" of marriage …Күберәк
@Boanerges Boanerges I'd say Cardinal Burke has done much more than most bishops in the USCCB.
What Bergoglio (and his Mini-Me Leo14) call theoretical, Burke calls " an objective reality, a supernatural gift." Cardinal Burke contradicts Pope Francis. Modernists have trouble understanding the supernatural.
Mexico: A Network, Two Cathedrals, and Three Bishops
The IV National Meeting of the homosexual network ‘Red Católica Arcoíris de México’ was held from July 30 to August 2 in the Comarca Lagunera region, northern Mexico.
Under the theme "Brotherhood and Service," the gathering brought together nearly 100 representatives from homosexual groups across Mexico, including Kadima (Chihuahua), Otro Rebaño (Morelia), Betania (Irapuato), La Viña (Hermosillo), Todos Somos Lambda (Saltillo), and other member groups.
The program included a keynote address by the homosexual activist James Martin SJ via Zoom and the election of a new national leadership team.
The region Comarca Lagunera is a metropolitan area that spans two Mexican dioceses, Torreón and Gómez Palacio.
The opening Mass was celebrated on July 31 in the Cathedral of Torreón by the local Bishop Luis Martín Barraza Beltrán, 62, and concelebrated by Bishop Emeritus Raúl Vera López, 81, of Saltillo.
According to Vanguardia.com.mx, Bishop Emeritus Raúl Vera delivered the homily, saying: “…Күберәк

Question:
Based on all going issues since Benedict XVI resigned from ministerium and not from munus, how one can consider Bergoglio and Prevost were/are true popes?
Canon 332 §2 of the 1983 Code states plainly:
Si contingat ut Romanus Pontifex muneri suo renuntiet, ad validitatem requiritur ut renuntiatio libere fiat et rite manifestetur, non vero ut a quopiam acceptetur.
"If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his munus, it is required for validity that the resignation be freely made and properly manifested, but it is not necessary that it be accepted by anyone."
The canon uses munus — not ministerium, not officium, not any other term. Munus in the canonical tradition carries the weight of the office itself: the ontological reality, the gift-and-burden of the Petrine charge, not merely its active exercise.
On February 11, 2013, Benedict XVI declared in Latin:
...declaro me ministerio Episcopi Romae, Successoris Sancti Petri, mihi per manus Cardinalium die 19 aprilis MMV …Күберәк

Sydney Archbishop: Homosexuals Mocked Catholic Faith
Sydney Archbishop Anthony Fisher noted the producers of a homosexual performance staged inside a former Catholic church on Kent Street deliberately mocked the Catholic faith.
Writing in CatholicWeekly.com.au on July 28, a week after hundreds of Catholics gathered outside the venue to pray the Rosary, Archbishop Fisher rejected claims that the show was simply artistic expression.
The performances were "not neutral expressions of art" but "a deliberate appropriation, sexualisation, and denigration of symbols and rituals specific and sacred to the Catholic faith."
The archbishop cited promotional images showing a pig offering McDonald's fries as the "Body of Christ," male performers dressed as nuns, and events titled "Sunday Mess" and "Unholy Confessions." He considered claims - that the production was not intended to mock Catholics - were "unpersuasive."
"For Catholics, the Eucharist is not a cultural motif available for parody," Fisher wrote. "It is the sacrament at the heart of our …Күберәк

Jesuits Dying Out: Catalonia's Shrinking Presence
The Society of Jesus is continuing a major reorganization of its presence in Catalonia as declining numbers of Jesuits and an aging membership force the closure of houses.
Working-Class Communities Close, Elite Schools Remain
The first recent closure came in Bellvitge, where the Jesuit community founded in 1968 ended its presence at the close of 2025. It was one of the Jesuits' flagship social apostolates in post-war Spain. The Jesuits also handed over responsibility for the parish of Mare de Déu de Bellvitge.
The Jesuïtes Bellvitge – Centre d'Estudis Joan XXIII school continues to operate within the Jesuit education network.
The reorganization of Jesuit communities continued in El Clot, where the Jesuit residential community at the end of the academic year 2025-2026.
The Society cited the same reasons: fewer active Jesuits, a lack of vocations, and the high average age of its members.

Not Homosexuals, Catholics Must "Repent" - German Bishop
Auxiliary Bishop Ludger Schepers of Essen, the German Bishops' Conference's commissioner for homosexual propaganda, has urged Catholic parishes to become places where homosexuals can live "without fear".
Writing on Kirche-und-Leben.de on August 2, Bishop Schepers commented on the recent deadly attack during Berlin's homosexual march.
"Our parishes must be places where every person is welcome and experiences the inalienable dignity that God has given them. No one should ever have to fear prejudice, distrust, or rejection because of their sexual orientation or gender identity."
He attacked the Church, claiming gratuitously that she "has not always been a safe place for queer people," adding that biblical passages had too often been taken "out of context" and used against them.
Ludger Schepers contrasts what he calls "the Gospel's message of unconditional love" with "the experience of many queer people". This contradiction calls Catholics "to repent".

Tennessee recently enacted a law making it easier legally to shoot someone who’s stealing the lawnmower, bicycle or power tools you left in your garden shed.
This is a new take on the “stand your ground” doctrine, which lets you defend yourself but not your stuff. Under the expanded provision, you can kill to protect your belongings as long as you believe the interloper is a threat to you or others.
“Stand your ground” laws, or the idea behind them, have existed since the Centennial. The principle is intuitive: A person can’t use force to coerce you. The …Күберәк

Lourdes’ Lesson in Suffering
Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
An informal lecture, February 6, 1965 (*)
At Lourdes, Divine Providence takes two different attitudes towards human suffering. The first is more sensational and thus catches our attention more. It is when Our Lady, as a compassionate mother, heals the sick and lame and thus proves the veracity of the Faith. This, in turn, shows her mercy for wayward souls, by giving them a strong motive to convert.
The innumerable pilgrims who are not cured exemplify the other attitude, and beg the questions: “Why would Our Lady cure one and not others?” and “Isn’t this in contradiction to the first attitude?”
The answers to these questions demonstrate suffering’s raison d’être and role within the perfection of the Divine plans. Thus, we can learn much more by this second attitude than by the first.
To reach a conclusion, we first must recognize that Our Lady demonstrates her goodness at Lourdes. She shows that she can and wants to work miracles for her children. Nevertheless …Күберәк
