‘ZERO A.D.’ BRINGS THE BIRTH OF CHRIST TO THE BIG SCREEN THIS CHRISTMAS | SG News The story of Christ’s birth is coming to the big screen this Christmas in a dramatic new biblical epic. Angel Studios’ Zero A.D.: The Birth of Christ, directed by Sound of Freedom filmmaker Alejandro Monteverde, is scheduled for nationwide theatrical release on December 11, 2026. Rather than portraying the Nativity only as a peaceful scene in Bethlehem, Zero A.D. takes audiences into the dangerous world surrounding the birth of Jesus — a world in which King Herod sees the arrival of a newborn king as a direct threat to his throne. At the heart of the film is Mary, portrayed by Deva Cassel. Her journey is presented as one of extraordinary courage, sacrifice and faith as she protects the Child entrusted to her while darkness gathers around the Holy Family. Jamie Ward stars as Joseph, alongside Sam Worthington, Ben Mendelsohn and Gael García Bernal. But perhaps the film’s most striking casting choice is Jim …ပိုမို

A mosque dispute is escalating in Mestre, on the Venetian mainland. A Muslim association linked to the local Bangladeshi community bought a former sawmill for €1.5 million to build an Islamic centre. However, the site would require a municipal change of use. Venice Mayor Simone Venturini says the conditions for approval are not currently met, citing planning and integration concerns. Association president Prince Howlader threatened a strike in late August. He claimed Bangladeshi workers could disrupt tourism, hotels and restaurants. However, workers and unions showed limited support, and the protest was put on hold for talks.

I learned during the COVID years what happens when a small shop owns the tap and calls it safety. You do not owe them a FOIA packet to say you will not hand moral authority to a small coastal shop again.
Bishop Strickland rejects yesterday's Vatican document marking 60 years of Nostra Aetate. Bishop Emeritus Joseph Strickland from Tyler, Texas, wrote on X.com on September 16 that the new Vatican document - approved by Leo XIV - “must be rejected and repudiated by all who hold Jesus Christ and His Church as the only way to the Father.” He refers to §54 on ‘The Path of Hope’: “The defensive entrenchment in one’s own position and the view that proselytism is the only way to engage with the other no longer make sense in a world that increasingly resembles an interconnected and constantly evolving global village.” Strickland counters: “Truth is not constantly evolving, Truth is Jesus Christ present with us in the world and His Church is the vehicle for our salvation.” #newsZzmwnhglqh
Christ, the Son of God, and the second Person of the Blessed Trinity said without HIM and baptism, one will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. This cannot be denied or watered down.
On the part of God, unlike on the part of man, there is no breaking of His plan, but only development and refinement of the Ancient Covenant, in the New and definitive Covenant, which will give the “small remnant” of the Jews faithful to the Messiah a “new heart” and will open up to all humanity... Jesus did not establish a new religion, he taught that God wanted the salvation of all mankind and that the coming of Christ was the condition of such salvation... The Christian community remained faithful to the Old Testament Tradition, recognizing in Jesus the Christ-Messiah announced by the Prophets. For Christians, it is post-biblical Judaism that is unfaithful to the OT, but there is a “small ” faithful remnant, which upon entering the Church of Christ guarantees the continuity of the (Old-New) Covenant, in view of Christ coming. He is the “cornerstone” who “made of two [peoples: Jews and Gentiles] one thing” [Christians]».
Priest claims that the chalice became too heavy to hold during the consecration. The video shows Rev. Brent Bowman suddenly weeping during the consecration at Mass in Hopkins, Minnesota, on September 14. On September 16, Rev. Bowman issued a clarification. He said that during the consecration of the wine, he had a private spiritual experience. The chalice felt so heavy that he could no longer hold it up, and he felt his hands “fixed” to it, temporarily unable to move it. Bowman stressed that this was not a Eucharistic miracle in the usual sense: he saw no blood or human flesh, and the bread and wine did not change in appearance or taste.
"The chalice has become too heavy": a priest breaks down in tears at the moment of consecration: Father Brent Bowman was celebrating Mass on September 14 in Minnesota when he collapsed in tears at the moment of consecrating the Precious Blood. He recounts having then felt, with striking force, the weight of Christ's sacrifice

"You now perceive that this devotion is not an invention of modern times, but a doctrine universally enforced in the best and purest ages of the Church. You see that praying for the dead was not a devotion cautiously recommended by some obscure or visionary writer, but an act of religion preached and inculcated by all the great Doctors and Fathers of the Church, who are the recognized expounders of the Christian religion. You see them, too, inculcating this doctrine not as a cold and abstract principle, but as an imperative act of daily piety, and embodying it in their ordinary exercises of devotion."
‘Purgatory’ by J. Sadlier; 1886; Chapter I – ‘CARDINAL GIBBONS ON PURGATORY.…’; pages 48-49; part I [Saint Catherine of Genoa – XV-XVI Century AD; born: Genoa, Republic of Genoa/ died: Genoa, Republic of Genoa; Aged 62-63; mystic, known for her work among the sick and the poor] CARDINAL GIBBONS ON PURGATORY. The Catholic Church teaches that, besides a place of eternal torments lor the wicked and of everlasting rest for the righteous, there exists in the next life a middle state of temporary punishment, allotted for those who have died in venial sin, or who have not satisfied the justice of God for sins already forgiven. She also teaches us that, although the souls consigned to this intermediate state, commonly called Purgatory, cannot help themselves, they may be aided by the suffrages of the faithful on earth. The existence of Purgatory naturally implies the correlative dogma—the utility of praying for the dead ; for the souls consigned to this middle state have not reached the term of …ပိုမို
