Leo XIV-Appointed Archbishop at the UN wants to get rid of free speech. The new Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations, Archbishop Christophe El-Kassis, delivered his first address at the UN on September 17. The Archbishop rejected “every form of intolerance, discrimination, and hate speech”. And: “Any hate speech - directed at either individuals or communities because of their religion, race, nationality, or any other characteristic - goes against the commandment to love one’s neighbor.” He believes, it “poisons public discourse, inflames division, and too often prepares the ground for violence and persecution.” Words that intentionally provoke hatred “cannot claim the protection of liberty.” Leo XIV appointed Monsignor El-Kassis to the United Nations in July.
Archbishop Christophe El-Kassis: Speech that intentionally provokes hatred cannot claim the protection of liberty.
How absolutely disgusting! Who determines the 'intentionality' here?!! The sender, or, as has become more common nowadays, those who would look for offense and hatred especially where none has been given. Under such a glaringly absurd 'rule' our Lord's denunciation of the Pharisees and scribes as being "like white sepulchres..." as well as numerous other justifiable condemnations merited His 'silencing'. God help us!
The home of Cardinal Ernest Simoni, 97, in Florence was burgled while he was in Britain. The Albanian cardinal was received by King Charles III at Balmoral Castle on September 15. According to Corriere.it, thieves targeted the Curia-owned apartment in Piazza Duomo where Simoni lives with his nephew Tonin and his family. When his nephew called with the news, the cardinal’s first concern was not the money: “Did they leave the statue of Our Lady of Medjugorje? And Padre Pio?” Told both were untouched, Simoni replied simply: “Allora poco male” - “Then, little harm done.” The burglars smashed through a wall with chisels, forced open an armoured door and ransacked wardrobes, boxes and luggage, leaving their tools on the landing. The haul, estimated at €30,000, included cash, gold, jewellery, medals and a gold seal. Strangely, Simoni’s residence permit was also taken. Tonin and his wife had left around 1 p.m. and returned at 11 p.m. to find the apartment ransacked. Tonin believes the family …அதிகமாக

Cardinal Pietro Parolin: “Russia should not be isolated.” Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of a conference in Rome on September 16, the Vatican Secretary of State reiterated the Holy See’s case for maintaining direct channels with Moscow as the war in Ukraine continues. “Russia should not be isolated,” Cardinal Parolin said according to VaticanNews.va. He argued that some form of channel must be maintained “where people can talk to one another”. Cardinal Parolin admitted that the results of Vatican diplomacy so far have been “rather limited”. Nevertheless, Vatican diplomacy will “continue on our path.” He also confirmed that Cardinal Matteo Zuppi’s humanitarian mission concerning Ukraine will continue, including returning to Moscow this September. #newsSnfkpmtoau

The Mystery of the Blood of Saint Januarius September 19 – Memorial of Saint Januarius, Bishop and Martyr Dear brothers and sisters, as you already know, regarding matters not directly concerning the *depositum fidei* (the deposit of faith), the Church has never officially pronounced judgment on the "miraculous" or "supernatural" nature of the events surrounding the blood of Saint Januarius in Naples. Scientific examinations have thus far been prevented by the fact that the two ampoules are sealed with an extremely hard mastic that makes it impossible to open them without breaking the glass. However, spectrographic analysis conducted by professors from the University of Naples has demonstrated that the contents are undoubtedly blood. In any case, the very existence of this blood defies explanation: were the laws of nature to apply, the blood would have long since putrefied and turned to dust. Indeed, as the scholar Professor Gastone Lambertini summarized after years of research: "One …அதிகமாக
"My pronouns are 'They/Them' and I'm the pastor here at Lutheran Church of the Cross....you are welcome here whomever you love, whatever gender identity you hold, your sexual orientation...You are welcome."
Theo Bishop Barron Interview youtube.com/watch?v=tSlDMz2ZrnY We can sense Theo is seeking support for his calling out the genocide, artificial intelligence, and pornography. The Bishop has slightly underplayed responses to these in contrast to his more solid solid knowledge of Church teachings in other matters. I sense also the Bishop has some vulnerabilities he has to look out for. This is not a post to mud sling another VII bishop although that seems to be a happy playground for GTV. Some of us have had intense conversions since VII. Visitors may also be wanting of the Sacramental Life.
Fatima Keeps Rupnik Mosaic The Marian shrine of Fátima, Portugal, does not plan to remove or cover its massive Rupnik mosaic. Last year, the Fátima shrine issued a statement saying that it would not remove the mosaic. The Substack.com-Account The Pillar (September 18) contacted the Fátima shrine again after Rupnik’s mosaics at Lourdes were covered and “was told there is no update to the shrine’s stance.” There is the prospect of a papal visit to Fátima next year. Rupnik is facing a canonical trial at the Vatican over credible accusations that he sexually, spiritually, and psychologically abused numerous women. His art, with its big black eyes and characteristic asymmetry, mirrors a warped mind. Bishop Virgílio Antunes, president of the Portuguese bishops’ conference and chairman of the National Council of the Fátima Shrine, acknowledged that “one cannot separate the artwork from the context and the circumstances in which it was created.” BUT: Neither he nor the bishops’ conference “…அதிகமாக

French military chaplain Romain Ghandou has sparked a political storm, with a prominent left-wing politician calling for his imprisonment. The video is from a 7 Oct 2025 Mass at Carcassonne Cathedral, before soldiers of the 3rd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment (3e RPIMa). “Calm down, leftists! Breathe through your nose,” Ghandou said, drawing laughter and applause. He attacked “liars,” “incompetents” and those who “lecture everyone.” He urged soldiers to “keep fighting” and have “the courage of your convictions,” warning that otherwise France would be ridiculed and “others will take our place.” Le Canard enchaîné publicised the footage Friday, sparking outrage on the left. Jean-Luc Mélenchon, founder of La France Insoumise (France Unbowed), alleged “racist insults” and said: “His place is in prison.” Le Canard linked the sermon to the “Great Replacement,” though Ghandou does not use that phrase in the published excerpt.
